  • A remedial massage therapist is a professional who specializes in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and injuries. They use various manual techniques to manipulate soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia to promote healing, reduce pain, and restore function.

  • If it's your first visit with me, we will go through an overview of your client intake & medical history with a brief conversation on the reason for your visit, I will then discuss a treatment approach. Once you are happy and have conscented to treatment, we can begin.

    Within the session time I will complete clinical notes, receipt payment & book future appointments if required or requested. Optionally you may book online in your own time.

  • You can have a massage at any time you don't have any contraindications, meaning any health issues that massage may have an undesirable outcome on, such as fever or infectious illnesses, contageous skin conditions, blood clots, thrombosis, bleeding disorders, bone fractures, unstable and unmanaged heart conditions, diabetes and cancer. If you see something that isn't listed here and you are unsure, please ask!

  • No, you are only asked to remove clothes for the areas that are to be worked on. You always will be given privacy in the room to undress. Once on the table there will be a bath sheet that you will be able to cover yourself before calling myself back in.

  • Generally yes.. but nothing too intense & demanding on the areas that were just worked, eg. Going into the weight training area and lifting 70% and above of your maximum effort. If you intend on doing intense exercise, I advise waiting until the following day to allow the full benefits of your treatment to reach its potential.

  • If you have underlying health conditions, it's a good idea to consult with a doctor or relevant healthcare professional before starting any new treatment, including remedial massage.
